Quality
Quality as a keyword: quality is one of MILES’ core values. Our suppliers are chosen according to quality criteria, subject to a visit in person to one of their production sites to ensure that the highest quality and environmentally friendly standards are adhered to.
For years, the 100 technicians and 80 inspectors of our in-house Quality Assurance Department have been responsible for the monitoring of production to ensure that international quality standards (AQL ISO 2859) are adhered to.
In addition to our in-house quality control mechanisms, MILES also cooperates with leading, internationally accredited research and testing institutes. Institutes such as FI Hohenstein, TÜV Rheinland, IST, SGS, LGA and STR test our products for any dangerous compounds and check the products’ environmental sustainability. Only when all of these criteria have been fulfilled do the products receive the quality certificates (e.g. Öko-Tex Standard, GS and TÜV TOXPROOF).
Environmentally sustainable products are particularly important for MILES. The physical and chemical properties of our textiles are tested during production in our own textile laboratory according to international standards.
